Congo DR Friendly: Eagles divided over Adokiye Pitch

There are dissenting voices in the Super Eagles camp over the choice of the Adokiye Amesimaka Stadium for Monday’s international friendly against Congo DR in Portharcourt, the Rivers State capital.

Sportinglife.ng gathered that the players in question would have preferred that the match be played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

They are not comfortable with the state of the Adokiye pitch which is still under repairs.

Sources close to the team told SportingLife.ng that if the team had their way, they would have loved to remain in Uyo for the friendly tie because of the fine nature of the Stadium.

Meanwhile, the team which arrived on Saturday evening is expected to have a light work out ahead of the friendly.
