Costa Rica 2022: Visa hitches may rattle Falconets
The Nations representative to the FIFA U-20 World cup in Costa Rica, Falconets may suffer visa migraine unless World soccer ruling body intervenes in a jiffy.
Costa Rica has no Embassy in Nigeria but has in UK and the nearest being the one in Kenya. It is equally gathered that a letter has been dispatched to FIFA seeking intervention so that the Falconets can get visas at the point of entry with the Championship barely two weeks to kickoff.
Should FIFA fail to act fast the Christopher Danjuma tutored side billed to flag off campaign against France on August 12 may be forced to tell story that touch. Falconets who have been drawn in Group C have a date with South Korea on August 14 with the last group stage against Canada Scheduled for August 18.
The continent is being represented by Nigeria and Black Maidens of Ghana who have been drawn against Japan, Netherlands and USA in Group D.
Nigeria twice reached the Final, losing to Germany in 2010 and 2014 while Ghana have featured in five previous occasions, crashing out at the group stage each time.
