Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo is hoping Inter fall in their first match of 2020 after helping the Old Lady take top spot in the standings.
The Bianconeri cruised past Cagliari 4-0 on Monday, with the Portuguese netting a hat-trick – his first with the Italian giants.
Juve now sit three points up on Inter ahead of their clash with Napoli later in the day, and Ronaldo made it clear he is hoping they drop points.
“I don’t know if I’ll see the game, but I hope Inter lose,” he told Sky Sport Italia after the match. “We have to remain calm.
“We did what we have to do and now we must wait.”
The Bianconeri dominated the match against Cagliari from start to finish, and Ronaldo noted they are improving in every regard.
“The most important thing is the team,” he added. “We played well and created lots of chances.
“I’m happy with my hat-trick, but the important thing is that we won in order to put pressure on Inter.

“We are improving with every match, not just in defence, but in midfield and attack as well. We are a complete team in every regard.”
