CSKA Moscow have declared their interest in keeping Nigeria international Ahmed Musa on a permanent basis after the striker completed his loan spell with the club on Sunday.

A close pal of the Eagles attacking midfielder told Sportinglife.ng that CSKA will make their intention known to Leicester FC who are yet to decide on retaining the player.

“All the parties involved must sit down to negotiate. It is possible that Leicester would want Musa back following his new form but the terms would have to be spelt out. So let us wait,” the pal said.

“My mind tells me that Musa will like to remain with CSKA since they will be playing in the Champions League next season,” he added.

Musa who is thrilled to regain his form after a torrid time in the premier league, is yet to comment on his next move.

Recently it was reported that newly promoted English side Wolverhampton Wanderers had penciled the Nigerian as one of their targets ahead of the English Premier League next season. The player has also attracted offers from top Turkey sides Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.

Musa ended the season with seven goals in his last six matches, while providing three assists to help CSKA finish second behind Locomotiv on the summit.

He joined Leicester City on a four-year deal in July 2016 for a transfer fee of 19.5 million euros.
