Bayern Munich defender David Alaba reportedly favours a move to Chelsea this summer despite suggestions that the Austrian has already agreed to join Real Madrid.
The 28-year-old’s contract at the Allianz Arena is due to expire at the end of June, and a number of clubs have been credited with an interest in his services.
A recent report claimed that Madrid have already agreed a four-year contract with the Austria international, who would officially join Zinedine Zidane’s side upon the expiration of his Bayern deal.
However, according to AS, talks between the two parties are not as advanced as suggested, and the player himself is currently leaning towards a move to the Premier League.
Manchester United and Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the versatile defender, but Alaba is said to favour a switch to Chelsea ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
The nine-time Bundesliga winner, who is not thought to be target for Manchester City, has made 25 appearances at club level this term.
