David Okereke ends goal drought in Club Brugge win

Olympic Eagles forward David Okereke ended his eight-game goal drought with a brace in Club Brugge 3-0 victory over Francs Borains in the Belgian Cup.

Wednesday’s outing was the first time the forward scored a goal since August 10 against KV Oostende.
The Nigeria international found the back of the net twice in the second half to help his side advance to the next round of the cup competition.

David Okereke scored in the 81st and 85th minutes respectively. Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau drew the curtain-raiser with nineteen minutes left on the clock.

Okereke, who bagged 10 goals and provided 12 assists for Spezia last season, will hope to consolidate his form when Club Brugge take on Mechelen in their next league game on Saturday, September 28.
