Dembele not ready for new contract with Barcelona

Ousmane Dembele has no plans to sign a new contract with Barcelona and clubs willing to sign him are reportedly offering a €20 million sign-up bonus to secure his signature.

The winger is out of contract at the Camp Nou at the end of the season and his representatives are already listening to interest from potential future clubs.

Barcelona have already made their best possible offer for the Frenchman, with Xavi promising Dembele that he will become one of the best strikers in the world if he stays at the Camp Nou.

However, according to the Spanish newspaper Dembele has no interest in signing new terms at Barcelona and has already rejected offers for a new contract.

It is also alleged that unnamed clubs looking to hire Dembele for free are willing to offer him a sensational £17million bonus, making a departure from Spain even more attractive.

It is also alleged that Dembele wants to copy his compatriot Kylian Mbappe by leaving his club for free next summer.

Mbappe is also expected to be a free agent at the end of the season with the Paris Saint-Germain forward, who has yet to commit his long-term future to the Ligue 1 giants.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle are all associated with the former Borussia Dortmund star, who has only played for Barcelona three times this season.

Last week, Mundo Deportivo reported that Newcastle  which is backed by the Saudi public investment fund  has submitted an “astronomical offer” for Dembele.

It would amount to €15 million (£12.73 million) a year in wages, as well as a hefty bonus for moving to St James’ Park.
