Drill Walia Ibex from first minute Broos orders Bafana Bafana

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has ordered his boys to drill Walia Ibex of  Ethiopia from the first blast of the whistle if they hope to pocket the three points at stake come Saturday.

South Africa arrived early on Friday morning in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia, ahead of their much-anticipated World Cup qualifier.

Speaking to the Bafana media department, Broos said he wanted his youthful Bafana side to make Ethiopia “suffer” from the first minute.

“The opponents are there, and they have some qualities, but on the other side, it comes down to what we are going to do when we have the ball,” said Broos.

“I think we will try to have the game under our control. If we don’t have control of the game, we will suffer for 90 minutes.

“Once we have control of the game, then we can do what we like to do, but before that, it will be very difficult because we can’t be focused on what they are doing. That is something crucial for the game.”

Broos added: “I said it before, if you want to be first in your group, you’ll have to win one away game. On Saturday we have a chance and then next month in Ghana.

“Logically, if I can say, it is easier to win in Ethiopia than in Ghana because Ghana is a better team than Ethiopia. We have a chance to do it.

“If we can succeed (on Saturday) and not forgetting about the game on Tuesday, then we can do a very good operation.
