Eagles’ Camp: Moses out of Congo DR Friendly

Super Eagles forward Victor Moses is the only player expected to be missing when the camp opens on Monday in Uyo ahead of the friendly match against Congo in Port Harcourt on May 28.

Media officer of the team Toyin Ibitoye in a chat with sportinglife.ng confirmed that all invited players are being expected in town any moment from now including China based duo of Captain John Obi MiIkel and Odion Ighalo.

The expectation according to him is that all the players would have hit camp this weekend though the deadline even though there is no deadline.

Ibitoye said Moses has been excused since he will be featuring in Saturday’s FA Cup against Manchester United at the Wembley Stadium.

“Yes Moses is the only one excused, all other players are being expected.  The players are aware of the program and everybody is working towards common agenda,” he enthused.

Moses, who unfortunately got the marching orders in the FA cup finals last year, is eager to make amends and hopefully fire the Blues to victory. Moses who is equally looking forward to Super Eagles friendly match against England June 2nd at the Wembley has not hidden his excitement ahead of the meet as he dished out on May 1st “Super Eagles are coming to Wembley”

But for Saturday’s FA Cup final tie, the Nigeria international has been putting finishing touches to preparation with enough of his training sessions with teammates on hand while sharpening his shooting skills .
