Eagles forward celebrates club’s best goal award

Super Eagles forward Brown Ideye is excited after claiming Aris Thessaloniki’s Goal of The Month award for December.

Ideye’s goal in the 4-0 bashing of Volos NPS in the Greek Super League was adjudged the club’s Goal of The Month for December.

The 31-year-old Ideye has been enjoying good form for the Greek since joining last summer, hitting the ground running despite not playing club football since January 2019.

An excited Ideye took to the social media to express his gratitude to everyone who voted for him for the award.

@officialideye – “Thanks to everyone who voted for me and my teammates for all the support..🙏🏾😬 #VamosAris🖤💛 #Grateful,” he penned on his official Instagram.

The former Tianjin Teda forward has scored six times in 16 appearances for the Greek side along with one assist so far.

Ideye, who claimed the 2013 AFCON with Nigeria is expected to pilot Aris’ attack against former club, Olympiacos and will be looking forward to continue his scoring form at his old ground on Sunday, January 19.
