The Super Eagles would have been N83m richer if they had defeated Croatia last Saturday in a group D opener of the FIFA World Cup going on in Russia.

Leading up to the match played at Kaliningrad Arena, each player was entitled to the sum of $10,000 if they recorded a win over their Croatia counterparts as promised by the Nigeria Football Federation.

The NFF would have spent $230,000 on the 23 players in camp which translates to N82,915,000.00m, an  opportunity they have missed.

The $10,000 is what has been earmarked for victory for the first round of matches for each player.

Besides losing their winning bonus, they were also promised $50,000 dollars for every every unreplied goal from one of the federation’s main partners Aiteo.

They have another chance to be rewarded if they can defeat Iceland in their next group game on Friday.
