Eagles to apologise to Nigerians on Friday

Members of the Senior National Team have decided to apologise publicly to Nigerians over their shambolic outing against Croatians before Friday, with a promise to do everything within their strength to beat Iceland to put the country in good stead for the June 26 cracker against Argentina in Saint Petersburg.

It remains to be seen if the players have learned their lessons by raising their game against Iceland to secure the maximum three points to leave the foot of Group D table by dusk on Friday.

The team is expected to depart Saint Petersburg on Thursday for Volgograd to complete their preparatory plans for Iceland.
