Enyeama thanks Dijon despite failing to tie a deal

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama has sent a message of gratitude to French Ligue side, Dijon for the opportunity to train with the club despite failing to secure a deal.

”Thank you for the warm reception and the opportunity given to train to with your team. It was a wonderful time that made me realize that I can still play at the highest competitive level. I wish the coach,the staff, the players a great season,”he tweeted.

Enyema had been training with the club for some days with the hope of replacing Bobby Alain, whose contract ended last season. He has not played competitive football since April 2017 while he was with another French side Lille.

The 37-year-old goalkeeper who is Nigeria’s joint most capped player of all time, was a member of the Eagles that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations before calling time on his international career in October 2015.
