EPL: Henry claims it’s the ‘end of an era’ for Liverpool under Klopp

Thierry Henry thinks it’s the “end of an era” at Liverpool after they lost 5-2 to Real Madrid in their Champions League last-16 match on Tuesday night.

The Reds made the perfect start with two goals in first 14 minutes from Darwin Nunez and Mo Salah but a brace from Vinicius Junior saw the La Liga giants level at half-time.

Eder Militao’s header early in the second half put Los Blancos ahead before a Karim Benzema double put the game beyond Liverpool and inflict one of Jurgen Klopp’s heaviest defeats during his time at the club.

It now means Liverpool will have to overcome a three-goal deficit in the second leg to qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals with the Reds having a terrible season by their standards.

Liverpool won back-to-back Premier League matches to move themselves up to eighth in the Premier League table recently but a top-four finish will take a huge turnaround in the second half of the season.

“I wanted to know where they were and I saw a fragile team. More than fragile, why? They were 2-0 up. That’s exactly the start
