EPL: I had the most challenging season so far as a footballer, says Iwobi

Everton winger, Alex Iwobi, has revealed that the just-concluded football season in England was his most challenging as a footballer.

The 26-year-old Nigerian was involved with the Toffees all season, as they only survived in the Premier League with one game to spare.

Iwobi is delighted they were not relegated but hopes they can kick on next season and avoid such a frantic end to the campaign.

“The most mentally challenging season of my career so far is over and I’m proud to have come out of the other side stronger, sharper, and hungrier than ever!” Iwobi wrote on his Twitter handle.

Iwobi was a regular starter under Frank Lampard, playing 90 minutes in the last 12 Toffees games in the Premier League this past season.
