EPL: Leicester City favourites part ways with Bristol City after ‘frustrating’ comment

Leicester City title winner, Danny Simpson, has left Nigel Pearson’s Bristol City.

Simpson departs Ashton Gate having made just four appearances in the Championship this season.

The 35-year-old was reunited with former Leicester boss Nigel Pearson when he signed a short-term deal last March and extended it for another year in the summer.

Bristol City have now confirmed Simpson’s departure after his contract was “ended by mutual agreement”.

Speaking at his press conference last Thursday, Pearson explained why Simpson had been struggling with the Robins.

He told reporters: “Danny has had a frustrating season on a personal level for him, it’s life.”
