EPL: Madueke is a talent for advanced level, says England U-21 coach Carsley

England Under-21s manager Lee Carsley believes in the talent of Chelsea forward Noni Madueke.

He has emphasised that the former PSV Eindhoven star, who moved to Chelesa in the winter, has the talent to succeed at the top level.

He believes that Madueke, who has struggled for game time since signing for the blues, only needs an opportunity to impress.

“Seeing him get that goal and two assists was really pleasing,” he said after a 4-0 win over France Under-21s.

“I think his style of play will really suit the Premier League. He’s exciting, fast, direct, and very versatile but what we have to remember is he is still young.

“He is going to need time, match minutes, the time to work on his game but he has high potential.

“Like a lot of the younger players, he just needs an opportunity. They need opportunities to show that talent and given a run of games he will be fine.”
