EPL: Man Utd captain Fernandes wants maturity in subsequent games

Manchester United must focus on what they can control in the coming matches, per club captain Bruno Fernandes.

The Red Devils have drawn and lost their last two games against Galatasaray and Newcastle United 3-3 and 1-0 respectively.

Now they take on Chelsea on Wednesday night, before another crucial run of games in the Premier League and Champions League.

“At the moment we just have to look game-by-game because we know we are not in the position we want to be,” Fernandes said to reporters.

“Focusing game-by-game is what we can control at the moment and we can’t look too much at the table.

“You can look too much at the future and not do the present right.

“We have to raise ourselves for the next challenge we have ahead.

“We’re not in the place we want to be in the league – everyone knows that. So if you want to get into that place, if you want to improve that position, then you have to win the game you have ahead.”
