EPL: You’re wrong about Rice, West Ham boss Moyes tells Souness

West Ham boss David Moyes has told Graeme Souness he was wrong to run down the midfield qualities of Declan Rice.

Souness claims Rice doesn’t have the skillset to play midfield long-term.

But Moyes, after their 1-1 draw with Chelsea yesterday, said: “Graeme Souness is a good judge.

“If you’re talking about top midfielders, Graeme Souness is as good as anybody, certainly from me watching.

“But I think Declan Rice is a top midfield player and he has been showing that week in, week out. he did a great job for us because he wasn’t well.”
