It is not believed to be serious, but Milan still asked the USMNT to leave the attacking wide man at Milanello to continue rest and recuperation.
Also out of the USMNT side is Juventus winger Timothy Weah, but the Rossoneri have released Yunus Musah for international duty.
Meanwhile, England manager Gareth Southgate has called up Milan defender Tomori for his final EURO 2024 qualifiers.
The centre-back has been increasingly included in the group for training, but is often not even on the bench for competitive matches, let alone given playing time.
The 25-year-old has only four senior caps for England under his belt.
