Europa League: Big blow for Club Brugge as injury rules out Dennis against Man United

Club Brugge has confirmed that Nigeria international Emmanuel Dennis won’t be available for the Europa League return leg round of 32 clash against Manchester United at the Old Trafford due to injury.

The player failed to recover after getting injured in last Sunday’s 1-0 victory against Sporting Charleroi.

“Philippe Clement just announced his selection for the Europa League back match against Manchester United. Captain Ruud Vormer and attacker Emmanuel Dennis do not travel to Manchester. Both have not recovered sufficiently from a contact in the match against Charleroi,” reads a statement on the club’s website.

He has scored three goals in 11 European games this season.

Meanwhile, national teammate, David Okereke who was an unused substitute in the first leg made the squad.

Prior to the league match, Dennis scored the club’s goal in the 1-1 draw last Thursday against United in the first leg.
