Everton Job: Friday is D-day for Lampard, Pereira

The search for replacement for sacked Rafael Benitez will become clearer Friday when Frank Lampard and Victor Pereira among others will be interviewed once more. The duo have already gone round one of the interview and Friday’s chat is likely to say where they pendulum will swing. Although there are other names on the table including that of Wayne Rooney,the duo of Lampard and Pereira according to reports are likely to determine the final pick.

The Toffees are searching for Rafael Benitez’s replacement. He was sacked earlier this month after a poor run of results saw them drop down to 16th in the Premier League.

The Athletic are reporting that they ‘will conduct their latest round of interviews on Friday’. Farhad Moshiri is said to be travelling back to England so he can be present for the interviews.

The report adds that Lampard and Pereira are ‘still in the frame’, but ‘other names are under consideration’ for the role. Everton aim to appoint Benitez’s replacement ‘before the transfer window shuts’.
