Everton Manager lists Eagles star against Man Utd, to rest Walcott,Morgan

Everton caretaker manager, Duncan Ferguson, has confirmed the name of Super Eagles star, Alex Iwobi, among the array of Army to don first eleven to feature  against Manchester United on Sunday in the English Premier League clash, as  Theo Walcott and Morgan Schneiderlin will be watching from the bench.

Ferguson said both players  have been suffering from calf injuries, with Walcott expected to be out for three weeks and Schneiderlin for a fortnight.

Ferguson added Seamus Coleman, Yerry Mina and Fabian Delph have resumed light training over the past three days. Their fitness will be assessed ahead of the trip to
Old Trafford.

The caretaker boss added he is “hopeful” Lucas Digne will be fit after the Frenchman took part in training on
Friday.

Jean-Philippe Gbamin (quadriceps) and Andre Gomes (ankle) continue to be long-term absentees.

Asked about missing Schneiderlin and Walcott for Sunday’s contest, Ferguson said: “It’s very disappointing, considering how well they played [against Chelsea] – Theo  on the counter-attack and Morgan covering the space in front of his back four.

“It’s a blow but we move on.”Mina missed last weekend’s 3-1 win over Chelsea with a hamstring injury, while Digne picked up a groin injury in that game.
