Everton preparing offer for Atletico Madrid’s Renan Lodi

Everton are reportedly interested in signing Atletico Madrid full-back Renan Lodi, who is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest.

The Brazil international registered six goals and 10 assists in 118 appearances for Atletico before joining Forest on loan last summer.

Since arriving at the City Ground, Lodi has featured in 20 games across all competitions, chipping in with one goal.

While fellow left-back Omar Richards is still yet to make his Forest debut due to a long-term injury, Lodi has managed to fend off the likes of Harry Toffolo and Neco Williams to nail down a starting place in the lineup.

As a result, the Atletico loanee has started the last 10 Premier League games for the Reds, who have the option

Despite featuring regularly for Steve Cooper’s side, Forest are reportedly set to turn down the opportunity to activate the €30m (£26m) buy option in his loan deal.

While his long-term future may not lie at the City Ground, according to Fichajes, Everton are preparing a bid for the Brazilian.

The report claims that Everton would be willing to make a ‘competitive offer’, as they look to bolster their squad in the summer.

While Lodi is still under contract with Atletico until June 2026, there is a belief that the La Liga club would be open to negotiating with the Toffees.

Everton could face competition for Lodi’s signature, with a number of ‘big-name’ clubs believed to be interested in securing his signature.
