Ex-Flying Eagles star ready to quit Norwegian topflight

Ex-Flying Eagles star Afeez Aremu says he’ll be open to leaving IK Start gin January to one of Europe’s top Leagues after gaining promotion to the Eliteserien next season.

The former Akwa United player, who joined the Norwegian club in January of 2018 has made 51 appearances, netting four goals.

Speaking with Lagos-based Brila FM, Aremu hinted he won’t force a move, but insists his goal is to move to mainstream Europe and more centrally to where there’s attention.

Asked how if there are plans in place for him to leave IK Start, Azeez said: “Well very soon.

“I would like to play in one of the biggest leagues in the world. When the time comes it comes.
“My objective was to get the club back to the top league. The January transfer window is already open so we’ll see happens,” he said.
