Ex-Man City star warns Arteta over Arsenal switch
Manchester City hero, Yaya Toure, has concerns for Mikel Arteta as he prepares to take the Arsenal job.
City assistant boss Arteta is closing in on a three-and-a-half year deal to return to the club he used to captain, with an agreement expected to be reached after City’s Carabao Cup quarter-final tie at Oxford United on Wednesday.
Toure worked with Arteta for two years at City, and is concerned that the funds in north London could make life tricky for the new boss.
“It’s going to be quite difficult,” the Ivorian told Associated Press.
“Why? Because Arsenal are struggling and I think if the directors of Arsenal listen to him and go in his way, maybe it’s going to work.
