Ex-Man City striker Dickov: Palmer a supernatural talent

Former Manchester City striker, Paul Dickov, is impressed by Cole Palmer’s breakthrough this season.

Dickov believes the City youngster will only get better as he’s given further experience against senior opposition.

He told the club’s website: “I love watching him play. I’ve loved watching him play for the Academy over the last few years and now to see him in the first team is fantastic.

“To come on the pitch on your Champions League debut (and do that) it just shows you how confident he is, that first touch is fantastic, and his finish was so cool.

“For somebody who’s 19… a lot of players who have just come onto the pitch would lash at that chance and hope to hit the target, but he’s so composed. He’s done that time and time again.

“He’s a supernatural talent. He picks up some fantastic positions, he likes finding little pockets and taking the ball in tight spaces.”
