Ex-Premier League star Lemina’s house burgled

Former Premier League midfielder Mario Lemina had his house broken into by burglars who have stolen jewellery worth £250,000 from the property.

L’Equipe report that Lemina’s home in Nice was broken into on Sunday evening by a group of three armed robbers at around 9:30pm.

Lemina was not present at the time of the break-in as he is currently on international duty with the Gabon national team, who faced Angola in World Cup qualifying on Monday with Gabon winning 2-0 with goal coming from Aubameyang and

Moussounda.

Up to 300,000 euros (£255,000) worth of items are believed to have been taken from the property before the perpetrators fled the scene.

Lemina joined Ligue 1 side Nice in the summer from Southampton for £5million after spending last season on loan with fellow Premier League side Fulham.

The Gabon international was unable to keep the Cottagers in the top flight and also spent time on loan in Turkey with Galatasaray after joining Southampton from Juventus in 2017 for £15million.

Lemina has won 19 caps for his country and made 74 Premier League appearances for Southampton and Fulham across four seasons, scoring three goals and registering three assists. Interestingly Lamina did was an unused substitute in Monday’s tie .
