Ex-Villarreal star disappears trying to cross river
The Uruguayan police and coast guard are looking for former Villarreal and Racing Santander player Franco Acosta after he went missing on Saturday afternoon while trying to cross a river in the area of Canelones.
According to authorities, the 25-year-old was crossing he river with his brother, who alerted them to the incident.

The Coordinating Centre for Search and Rescue at Sea activated its protocol and deployed personnel in the area alongside troops from the Prefecture of Canelones and the Marine Infantry Command.
The Uruguayan Navy said in a statement that they are searching for the young player after being alerted at 17:30 CET.
