Excitement as Peseiro arrives Super Eagles camp, takes charge ahead of Mexico duel

Super Eagles camp in Dallas, Texas, USA officially opens on Thursday and it is already bubbling with life as 13 players are currently on ground for Saturday’s international friendly match with El tri of Mexico at the AT&T stadium, Airlington, Megasportsarena.com reports.

Here’s a roll call of players in camp as at now.
Adewale Adeyinka (Akwa United), Ojo Olorunleke (Enyimba FC), Ibrahim Buhari (Plateau United), Chiamaka Madu (Rivers United), Is’haq Rafiu (Rivers United), Victor Mbaoma (Enyimba FC), Faisal Sanni (Katsina United), Babatunde Bello (Akwa United), Ola Aina (Torino), Semi Ajayi (West Brom), William Ekong (Watford), Moses Simon (Nantes), Alex Iwobi (Everton).

Other invited players are expected in camp this evening.

The delegation from Nigeria arrived Dallas yesterday (Wednesday) and had the players, coaches and backroom staff based in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the new head coach of the Super Eagles Jose Peseiro met with the players and his Nigerian assistants for the first time yesterday evening, Finidi George(1st Assistant Coach), Salisu Yusuf (2nd Assistant Coach), Usman Abdallah (3rd Assistant Coach) and Ike Shorunmu (Goalkeepers Trainer).

The Portuguese manager, who also introduced his own men to the Nigerian crew-Maykel Moreira (Fitness Coach) and Acacio Santos(Assistant Coach), will be in the dugout for his first game in charge of the team on Saturday.

The team had dinner with the new head coach who later held a brief meeting with the entire coaching staff.
