Moyes knows any chance of a cup upset on Tuesday night relies on subduing United’s immense attacking quality and in particular stifling the genius of Fernandes in midfield.
“I think Manchester United, Bruno Fernandes has given them another dimension completely,” Moyes admitted at his pre-match press conference. “He orchestrates most of their good play, and at the end of it they’ve got great speed and ability in (Mason) Greenwood, Rashford, (Anthony) Martial and (Edinson) Cavani now.
“We’ve got talented players as well so we need to go there and put on a good show. I thought for long periods of our game at home [in December] we played as well as Manchester United.
