FA Cup: Moyes warns team against losing concentration

 

West Ham Manager David Moyes has charged his boys to resist the temptation to lose concentration in their FA cup clash against Manchester United on Tuesday.

The Reds according to him parade a number of players that are not only talented that must be watched closely if the Hammers are earn good result in the encounter.

West Ham led 1-0 against United in their league encounter two months ago, however they collapsed in the second-half as Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford inspired an impressive 3-1 comeback.

United host West Ham at Old Trafford on Tuesday night as the two side’s battle it out for a place in the quarter-finals of this year’s competition.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have been scoring for fun in the Premier League this season, but have struggled to keep goals out at the other end, something Moyes is well aware of.

Moyes knows any chance of a cup upset on Tuesday night relies on subduing United’s immense attacking quality and in particular stifling the genius of Fernandes in midfield.

“I think Manchester United, Bruno Fernandes has given them another dimension completely,” Moyes admitted at his pre-match press conference. “He orchestrates most of their good play, and at the end of it they’ve got great speed and ability in (Mason) Greenwood, Rashford, (Anthony) Martial and (Edinson) Cavani now.

“We’ve got talented players as well so we need to go there and put on a good show. I thought for long periods of our game at home [in December] we played as well as Manchester United.
