FA drag FIFA to court over Chelsea transfer ban

Football Association are going to court regarding Chelsea’s transfer ban.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich bought the club in 2003

The case is between The FA and FIFA, and will be heard at the Court of Arbitration for Sport on June 26.

It was February 2019 when the Blues got a two window transfer ban for breaking transfer rules for the transfer of players under 18.

The FA also got a fine and a FIFA warning at the time.

That resulted in The FA raising concerns about the disciplinary process, which has led to this court matter.

An FA spokesperson told the Evening Standard: “The FA has cooperated fully with FIFA’s investigation.
