Fabregas sets sights on Premier League job

Cesc Fabregas has set his sights on a top drawer Premier League job after spending time with Arsenal youth teams last summer.
Having retired from professional football, Fabregas transitioned into coaching and currently serves as an assistant coach for the first team at Serie B side Como. However, he is set to pursue a UEFA Pro coaching license which will enable him to become the No. 1 of a top-flight team.
During the previous summer, Fabregas seized the opportunity to further hone his coaching skills by spending time with Arsenal’s youth teams, collaborating closely with the club’s Under-18 manager, Jack Wilshere. This involvement sparked excitement among Arsenal fans, who entertained the prospect of Fabregas returning to the club in a coaching capacity. However, Fabregas has his sights set on becoming a head coach rather than settling for an assistant role.

Expressing his aspirations, Fabregas told Standard Sport: “You never know how the future will go, but I want to be a main coach. I am doing my own way at the moment. 100 per cent my ambition one day is to coach a top club in the Premier League, the Champions League.

“But you need to respect the right steps. I feel I am ready to be a first-team coach already so I don’t want to go into these types of little coaching on the side or being an assistant. I have very clear things in my mind that I just want to be a main coach, a first-team coach, and that’s why I will do my own way until I am ready to jump onto a big train.

“But for now, there is a long way to go. I am just getting started. I feel privileged for the opportunity Como has given me and I am very happy here.
With determination, dedication, and a clear vision for his future in coaching, Fabregas stands poised to make a significant impact at Como. They are currently occupying the second spot in the Serie B table and should get promoted to Serie A if they manage to hold on to their position at the end of the campaign. They will next host Bari in another league fixture on Saturday afternoon.
