Falcons defender begins Norway move on a winning note

Super Falcons defender, Ngozi got her debut outing for Norway club, Arna-bjornar on a winning as they defeated Kleep by a lone goal in a friendly played today.

Today’s friendly played at the Stord Stadion was the last test match for Bjornar ahead of the new league season which gets underway next weekend.  Emilie Nautnes scored the winning goal.

Ebere who joined the Norwegian side from Cypriot club Barcelona FA Women on a one-year-deal  was in action and wore jersey number 2.

She said she welcomes the challenge of playing in a highly competitive league after completing her medical on Friday.

“This is a new challenge in a highly competitive league,” Ebere, who won three straight African women’s titles with Nigeria in 2014, 2016 and 2018, said:

“As a professional you want to keep testing yourself among the best, right now I am prepared for that.”

Ebere becomes the second Nigerian to join the club after former international goalkeeper Precious Dede – who had a short spell in 2009 as replacement for then injured Erika Skarbø.
