Fans mock Anthony Joshua’s training partner ahead of Andy Ruiz rematch

Anthony Joshua’s new training partner Albon Pervizaj has been destroyed by rival fans as the Brit prepares to fight Andy Ruiz again.

AJ will take on the Mexican who stunned him four months ago in Saudi Arabia this December.

The Brit lost his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles at Madison Square Garden.

And the 30-year-old has taken drastic measures to prepare for the rematch, including a significant weight loss .

Footage has now emerged of the heavyweight’s new partner Pervizaj in action.

This footage was shared on Twitter where it has been viewed nearly 25,000 times.

Accompanying the post, he wrote: “Anthony Joshua is sparring Albon Pervizaj as he attempts to replicate Andy Ruiz Jr’s fast hands.”

But boxing fans were not happy with AJ’s choice.

“This doesn’t replicate him in the slightest,” one said.

Another commented: “Ruiz Jr’s hands are not as fast as this fella.”

While a third suggested where the focus should be.

“Ruiz’s feet are his greatest asset,” they said.

“So good for a big man and AJ only wins if he can match that movement.”

And a fourth added: “Andy has head and waist movement.

“This dude is stiff as a board.”

With a fifth saying: “These are straight shorts but Ruiz is coming with hooks to the body and head.”

AJ takes on the Mexican in Diriyah on December 7.
