Feyenoord yet to hold talks with Dessers over permanent switch
Feyenoord’s Sporting Director Frank Arnesen has confirmed the club have not held talks with Cyriel Dessers over a permanent deal.
Feyenoord have the option to sign the Nigeria international permanently after his loan deal expires at the end of the
campaign, but the Rotterdam Club is yet to reach an agreement with his parent Club KRC Genk.
Genk slammed €4million price tag on the player, a fee price quite steep and that could potentially strain the Eredivisie
club’s transfer budget for next season.
Speaking ahead of UEFA Conference League final, Arnesen said the Dutch side are yet to sit down with both Dessers and Genk.
“Yes, but that’s not the only thing,” he said.
“We have not yet been able to discuss the conditions for a possible longer stay with Cyriel.
🗣 "It's a fantastic feeling. To get into double figures as a striker is something you work towards in pre-season."

“Because his transfer really only came about a few minutes before the closing of the transfer deadline, there was no time left for that.”
“So you understand that we still had to pull out all the stops to complete his temporary transition in time,” he told voetbalkrant.com
Dessers is expected to be in action when Feyenoord take on AS Roma in the final of Europa Conference League on Wednesday.
