Falconets Chief Coach Christopher Danjuma has picked his final 21-woman list for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup billed for August 5-24 in France.
On Thursday the Federation of International Football announced the final list of the 16 particpating
teams for the tournament which kicks off on August 5. The Nigeria squad is composed of 3 goalkeepers, 6
defenders, 7 midfielders and 5 strikers.
The two-time runners –up begin their campaign with a huge test, against Germany at the Stade de
Marville in Saint-Malo on August 6 against Germany.
Chris Danjuma’s side will be up against Haiti three days later at the same venue, before moving to
Dinan-Léhon, where they play China at the Stade du Clos Gastel on August 13.
Germany edged Nigeria to lift the trophy the two times Nigeria got to the championship final – in 2010
in Germany and 2014 in Canada.
