FIFA Women’s World Cup: Falcons kit gets top four rating

 

Nigeria may not have performed well in the last FIFA World in both the male and female categories but the nation’s kits to the Mundial ironically have remained a talking point four years and three years on respectively.

Recall that the Super Eagles jersey turned out to be an instant hit in Russia in 2018 even as the Gernot Rohr tutored and Mikel Obi captained side failed to make it beyond the first round.

FIFA tweeted that the jerseys were mentioned the most during the World Cup and decided to ask fans to choose their favourite in a poll on their handle.

After the conclusion of the votes the jersey with the highest per cent will be declared the winner.

It will be recalled that the Super Falcons booked their exit from the tournament after losing 3-0 to Germany in the round of 16.

The kit features a bright green-and-white zig-zag pattern spreading across the torso and the contrasting sleeves, pay homage to the one kit worn in the mid-nineties.
