Five observations about Rohr’s 23-man Super Eagles squad to face Brazil
Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has announced a 23-man squad that would face Brazil in an international friendly on October 13 at the National Stadium in Singapore.

Leganes of Spain centre back, Kenneth Omeruo and Granada of Spain forward, Ramon Azeez are the only players on the list that have played at all levels of the national teams. Both were at the FIFA U-17 World Cup hosted by Nigeria in 2009, FIFA U-20 World Cup in Colombia and the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Players who play in the Spanish La Liga and England dominate the list with four players each. France has three players while Belgium, Germany and Italy have 2 each. Czech, Greece, Scotland, Turkey, Cyprus and Nigeria have one each.
William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Maduka Okoye, Semi Ajayi and Joe Aribo were born abroad.
The trio of Kenneth Omeruo, Samuel Chukwueze and Ramon Azeez who play in the Spanish La Liga have also played in the final of the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

The oldest and youngest members of the team are the goalkeepers. Ikechukwu Ezenwa who is the only home based player in the team is the oldest. He will be 30 years old three days after the friendly against Brazil, while Okoye who is getting his second call up to the senior team is 20 years old.
