Football fans attack Rohr, Pinnick after Super Eagles shock defeat

Anger caused by the shock home defeat of the Super Eagles by part-timers Central African Republic has been directed squarely at coach Gernot Rohr and NFF President Amaju Pinnick, who has been the biggest supporter of the Franco-German coach.

The Wild Beasts of the Central African Republic inflicted Nigeria’s first home loss in a World Cup qualifier in 40 years courtesy of Karl Namnganda late winner Thursday.

Rohr has been in charge of the Super Eagles since 2016 after he was appointed by the NFF led by Pinnick.

“Apart from Pinnick being a failure, Rohr too has overstayed his welcome on the job,” tweeted @Adetolaa_a

“He is probably the only Super Eagles coach I know that had a large pool of players to work with but fails consistently.

“May God deliver Nigeria football.”

“He seriously (Rohr) needs to be sacked immediately, this is getting crazy, we should not take the risk of not qualifying for the World Cup,” added @Abdul_Malik12

“It’s partially His (Rohr) fault, but the blame goes to Amaju Pinnick,” blasted Odogwu Himalayas.one

“Have never been impressed with any of Super Eagles game under Rohr and Amaju Pinnick-led (NFF) board…” added @adeyemi_ameen

“Amaju Pinnick is more concerned about doing FIFA jobs than sorting his house,” tweeted @chibyyke_

“That’s bad.

“We all thought he was the saint when he was voted in, but fast-forward to 2020, he took the baton and continued in the shenanigans,” as reported by scorenigeria.
