Forest agree fee with Atletico for Felipe

Nottingham Forest have reached agreement with Atletico Madrid over the signing of experienced Brazil centre back Felipe.

Forest understood to be pleased with the value they’ve got from the deal – the 33-year-old had only five months remaining on his existing contract in Spain.

Felipe is expected to fly to the UK later today, and will travel to Nottingham to undergo a medical.

Forest faced competition for Felipe’s signature from Bayer Leverkusen, but officials at the City Ground are thought to be confident they’ve won the race for his signature.
