Former Black Stars ace Muntari loses phone to pickpockets

 

Former Ghana international Sulley Muntari reportedly had his iPhone Pro Max picked from his pocket at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The former Inter Milan and Deportivo La Coruña midfielder was said to be taking pictures with fans in the stadium when the phone disappeared. Mutari who made 84 appearances for Black Stars between 2002 and 2014 with 20 goals to his credit returned to the local league this year pitching tent with Accra Heart of Oaks where he sealed a six months deal

Communications Director of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo according to modernghana confirmed that Sulley Muntari’s iPhone was stolen moments after Asante Kotoko game against rivals Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

“Yes, I heard of the incident. Sulley was doing a photo session with some of the fans and unfortunately, someone picked his phone from his pocket,” Kwame Opare Addo told Accra based Asempa FM.

The former Portsmouth midfielder lasted 52 minutes and impressed in the 0-0 draw with their sworn rivals, Asante Kotoko.

Muntari joined the Phobians at the beginning of February on a short term deal and has since featured in three games.

He will be hoping to push the ugly incident behind him when Oaks file out against Legon Cities in continuation of the league at the El Wak Stadium on Sunday. Pickpockets you may want to say have no respect.
