Former Super Eagles striker offers to assist Nigeria scout for talents

Former Super Eagles’ attacker, Peter Ijeh, has offered to help the country raise players from the grassroots that could be in the senior national team for a long time.

Ijeh said he has the experience and eyes for good talents after getting his coaching badges in Europe and also worked with several academies in Europe.

The former Malmo FF striker believes Nigeria has many talents who are yet to be discovered and he is willing to offer his services towards the course.

“If they are groomed properly, they will become top-class players everywhere in the world. I have seen it, I have tested it and I conquered it during my time as a footballer,” Ijeh said in a podcast with Azerbaijan based Nigerian sports journalist, Johnpaul Nnamdi.

“There are great talents but one has to really work hard to discover them and that is what we are missing. I started with age-grade football and I know the mentality of grassroots football. Once I get a raw talent and with my educational background, I can bring out the best in them and make them fulfill their dreams.
