Gallagher wouldn’t get in my Chelsea team, says Obi Mikel

Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has criticised playmaker Conor Gallagher.

Mikel, who played 372 games for the club after signing as a youngster, is unimpressed by Gallagher’s abilities.

The two time Premier League and one time Champions League winner feels Chelsea need better in central midfield.

Speaking via his Obi One podcast: “He’s a decent player. Is he a Chelsea midfield player? Starting 11?

“Back in the day when we were playing would Gallagher get into the starting 11? No chance, I don’t think so.”

The Blues were beaten in the Premier League on Sunday, going down 2-0 at Everton.
