Ghana/Nigeria clash: Gyan lampoons GFA for leaving out Ashimeru

Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, has lampooned the Country’s football Association and the team’s technical crew for leaving out Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru in the squad to face Nigeria on Friday.

Majeed Ashimeru according to Gyan of the Baby Jet fame, is the best midfielder second only to Arsenal ace Thomas Partey.

Gyan who was impressive while doing his job as pundit/analyst at the last Nations cup in Cameroon did not hide his disdain for the decision as he took to his twitter handle to voice his disappointment shortly after the much awaited Black Stars squad was released Tuesday describing it as nonsense.

In a tweet, a few hours after Ghana’s squad was announced, Gyan wrote, “This guy Majeed Ashimeru is the best midfielder in Ghana, after Thomas Partey, PERIOD. I have kept quiet on this but this nonsense must stop. Smh”
