Golf sensation Spiranac rewarded for Hole-in-one shot

Golf sensation Paige Spiranac shot a hole-in-one at the Berenberg Invitational on Tuesday in front of the onlooking Gary Player who offered her a big hug for her effort.

The 28-year-old social media star could hardly contain her excitement as she slotted the ball off the tee at the 148-yard par-three 14th hole.

Nine-time major winner Player was almost as excited as Spiranac as he ran to hug the 28-year-old as onlookers realised the ball had gone straight into the hall.

Once she had confirmed with a friend that the footage of her shot was caught on camera, Spiranac also celebrated as she raised her arms joyously.

Spiranac tweeted the footage of her amazing shot along with writing: “Made a hole in one in front of Gary Player.”

The self-titled ‘super-veteran’ was at the tee alongside Spiranac as the 85-year-old waited to tee off after the American former professional player.

Ironically, Spiranac had only last week bemoaned one of golf’s downs on Twitter as she wrote: “Nothing makes me hate golf more than hitting snap hooks off the tee.”
