Guardiola: I appreciate Everton manager Ancelotti a lot

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, paid tribute to Everton counterpart Carlo Ancelotti.

The two teams will meet this weekend in the FA Cup quarterfinals.

And Guardiola said of the Italian: “He’s managed the best clubs in the world. Has been everywhere and always had success. People talk about him, as a person, when he takes care of me when I start, I visited at Milan, how gentle he is. I admire him a lot.”

On the tie, he continued: “It’s a final, a few weeks ago it wasn’t a final. Away, you have to realise how they play, how we can find spaces, control set pieces because they have a master with Sigurdsson. The quality of players are there. They’re doing well in the league, fighting for the Champions League, that shows how good they have done.”
