Horrific Dislocation:  Jamille Matt ‘Breaks Every Finger’

Forest Green’s Jamille Matt suffered a horrific hand injury and was stretchered off just six minutes to his side’s match.

Matt collided with Bolton midfielder MJ Williams in the opening exchanges of their League Two clash on Saturday.

The accidental collision left the Jamaican striker reeling away in agony before hitting the deck, looking at his hand in disbelief.

His fingers appeared to be completely bent and in a seriously bad way as the physio rushed onto the field of play.

A crest-fallen Matt was treated on the pitch and subsequently carried off on a stretcher.

One Twitter user wrote: “Jamille Matt looks like he’s broke every finger in his hand. One of the most disgusting injuries I’ve seen in a while.”

A second tweeted: “I honestly did not think your fingers could go back like that. Looks seriously bad for Jamille Matt.”

A third added: “Nasty one that. All four fingers dislocated it looks like.”

The injury to the 31-year-old is a huge blow for Forest Green who could now be without their prolific front-man for a lengthy period of time.

The former Blackpool and Newport man has scored 16 league goals this season – his best return of his career.
