I can’t wait to play my first match – Alaba after joining Real Madrid
David Alaba took just a few hours to make his first comments as a Real Madrid player. The former Bayern player is eager to start life at Real Madrid and he showed that in two tweets he wrote on Friday.
Alaba reacted moments after Real Madrid confirmed his signing on Friday afternoon by reaching out to Los Blancos fans on Twitter, citing the tweet which announced his arrival, and expressed his joy at moving to the Spanish capital.
“I leave a special club for another special club. I am really happy and honored to join Real Madrid. After so many years in Munich, I will face a new chllenge and I will give my best to continue the club’s special history,” he said.

In another twet, Alaba made clear how keen he is to get to know his teammates and start life at ‘Los Blancos’.
“I can’t wait to play my first match in the iconic white jerseys in front of all you fans in Madrid. I’m sure that this journey will be a successful one. Together with all madridistas. VAMOS! (Come on!),” Alaba concluded.
