Mikel Agu has reacted to his Super Eagles recall for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho.
The Vitória Guimarães SC Midfielder is making his return to the national team a year after his last appearance which interestingly was in November.
“I’ve been very happy, I could not eat. It is a good thing that the goal came on the day I was recalled to the Eagles after a Year,” Agu said.
“Coincidentally, the last time I played for Nigeria was in November and My Wife’s birth month is also November,” he told brila.net.

So far this season, Agu has scored once this season after six league appearances.
